Today, together with room's 9 and 14, we watched a performance by Sarah Lewis. Sarah got us to guess whether the instrument she was playing was woodwind, percussion or string. At the end some of us got to perform 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'.

Suter Art Gallery - Mille-Fleurs

Last week we went to the Suter Art Gallery to view an exhibition of a 'THOUSAND FLOWERS'. At the exhibition we looked at different types of botanical arts and made flowers to take back to class with us. You can view all the flowers in Room 13........come on in and take a look :-)

Later that week in class, we wrote explanations about how we made our flowers.
This explanation was written by Charlotte:

How I made my flower. I went to the Suter. The Suter is a place in town where lots of art is placed. I went there with my class. We all made flowers. Do you know how to make a flower? Well this is how I made mine. First I got a purple and green pipe-cleaner and stuck on a bit of green plastic on the bottom. Second I stapled a silver bit of cardboard and blue paper together. Third I sellotaped the green plastic on more securely. Fourth I put a bow on the silver paper. Fifth I stuck the pipe-cleaner on to some green cardboard. Sixth I was done!
